I'll take that as a request for more...

I'm pondering getting one as an extra "don't dirty my bimmers" car. Like for trips to the beach with wet people, going paintballing, basically as an extra car I don't have to worry about keeping spotless, but is still ridiculously cool! AWD would be nice for winter too. See, it is a rational purchase! HAHAHA!!

No doubt they're nice, but I'm sure I could find many other cars more worthy of $36.5k of my money!

Evo VIIs are no friggin' joke. At least the J-Spec ones, don't know what kind of #s they put out a bit detuned for our country's Nazi regulations.

If I bought that car I would want to sit in David Senior's seat and watch Alister McRae at action. That would inspire me to drive around like I'm at the Acropolis.

That is an impressive car. Not visually though.

Some of you guys are turning into BMW whores

There are better performing cars out there other than BMW. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely LOVE my car and will never sell it. I still love the way the e36 M3 looks. But it's probably the last BMW I'll ever own. I just can't get over the service from the dealerships and BMW NA treating us like shit all the time.

I really like evo's, I would take one so much faster than a wrx, but there is a big price change.

Wayyyyy too boyracer for me. Could do w/ a more subtle, conservative body kit and no wing. Better lines than the WRX though.

Can't argue with performance though. It's badass in that dept. I'm sure I'll have my hands full trying to hang with them as people start tracking them.

For 36.5K, you mean an E36 M3, right? Well, too bad that the M3 wouldn't be able to keep up...

An E46 M3 would, but for like almost 10K more :

'Mitsu garbage?' I think not. 0-60 in 4.2, awd, active center diff, tarmac/snow/dirt modes, stout engine that can make upwards of 600 hp with some work...all for 36.5K...If this had a BMW badge on it, you'd be cumming in your pants. : :

Really guys, Bimmers are nice and M3's own, but you gotta give respect where respect is due.

It still looks like an economy car with a bodykit.

Not disputing the performance. But, before you spout about build quality, Mitsu hasn't exactly been stellar in that dept.

True, true. We had a 97 Galant that was making trans noises at 2000 miles!!! Piece of crap.

I can only hope that the build quality that Mitsu puts into their status car is better than the put into thier everyday cars.

As for styling, that's completely subjective. Both the Lancer and the WRX STi were made to rally, so the body styling is a result of that. The rear wing on the Evo is adjustable, and might actually help a little.

IMO, the Evo VI lookes better than the VII. The VI was MUCH more aggressive, like the E30 M3 was. And I happen to like the looks of the WRX. I can only hope Subabru brings over the WRX STi.

I love the Evos but I am not a big fan of the new styling, its too roundy looking. I liked the Evo 5's, they were powerful and looked very aggressive, more boxy. Just my 2 cents. But hell I'd take one of those in a heartbeat...though shifting with the left hand would be rough. Anyone know if the pedal set-up in left hand drive in the same (i.e. from left to right: clutch, brake, gas)?

I only hope that when they realease the us version in late dec. that they do not detune it too much.

I am putting a deposit down on one next week. The potential of this car is what attracted me.

Yep, I drove some cars in Scotland that were RHD (California Permits are valid in other countries! I swear! ) and they all had the same pedal set up. Shifting with the left is pretty easy to get the hang of, too. Since I'm right handed I feel more secure with my right hand on the wheel in the first place, since it's the dominant hand and I think I have more control of it.
