2.0 liter Trans Am, IMSA GTU, SCCA GT3 or Vintage
This little duce packs quite a punch. 240 hp, dry sump engine screams to be driven. Corner balanced for 200lb driver and weighs in at a lean 1960lbs.
Most recently raced as a GT3 SCCA competitor with log book. Fully sorted but parked for five or six years. Starts and runs like a champ. It could be raced as is with minor attention to detail or restored to make any owner proud. This is a threat against vintage and modern race cars alike. There is very little on this car can be called stock, everything from the 240 hp, 48 mm Webers, dry sump engine, clutch, brakes, LSD differential, Koni suspension, duel fuel pumps, have been updated. Currently sits on Kumho 225x50, 15 race tyres. Fully charged fire system, new belts, NASCAR style cage. When last run it turned 1:32s at Willow Springs. To put that into perspective it takes a $100,000 Porsche 2.0 or a well sorted 2.5 liter 914-6 to run those kinds of times at the vintage races. Remember this is a 2.0 BMW. Take this to the BMW club and tear them up. This car will be sold with a bill of sale only. The buyer of this car can buy a specially built, two axle open trailer for an additional price of $1,000 if desired.
Doctor bill forces sale. Steal it for $12,000.
