GA65141 here. Mostly stock with short shift kit. Auxiliary heater went out and had redone most of cooling system before getting impatient and taking to autosport where they misdiagnosed heater control valve.

I just bought GA64987 in Northern California as a parts car (salvage title, smashed in rear quarter). From the back seat to the front end it is a really nice car for it's age. Nikasil block but runs exceptionally smooth and strong, even with 170K+ miles. I'm guessing it never saw high sulfur fuel.

Very, very sad. I have a ton of paperwork, window sticker, and owner's manual.

This car was originally purchased along with the only White Canadian car #8 of 32 by a person in Vermont. Who within months of delivery of both cars switched interiors,brakes, and wheels. The M540i (Canadian) was then sold at auction in 1997. And still resides in the US. The original owner was a BMW and Corvette collector. And stored my Hellrot car in his collection until 2001 it had 12 miles on it at the time. I am tlod by the dealership that he would have the car shipped (inclosed) for oil changes and maintenance with Mobil one in the trunk. In 2001 during maintenance at the dealer he had them change out the carbon Fiber for wood (Ouch!). The car has the original Nikasil block with perfect compression. Its completely stock with 85,000 miles. Stock except that it has the M Cloth interior,Black M sills,factory Euro M pars,4 pot M brakes,Black headliner with all black trim. I just had the EDC fully rebuilt
by Nagengast in Poland (they are fantasti!) The brakes are all new rotors and pads,New clutch. It drives and looks like new! I have considered contacting the person with the now White M Sport and doing the proper exchange. But the car looks incredible with this combination (except that I need the correct Carbon Fiber). I am looking.

This car is going to the junk yard soon. I am pulling the manual swap and throwing it into a much cleaner 540i/A.

Hellrot red. Picked up for $1,800 because it wasn't running. Put in a new battery and drive it home. Albeit the CSB was completely failed and the driveshaft was hitting the bottom of the car at a certain rpm range :P
