So what size tire can fit on the stock 14 inch bottle caps? Stock tire is 195/65/14 I believe? Any other sizes that fit well?
I am running 205/60/14 on my stock basketweaves
Also I should mention that as of now the suspension is stock, but I may be lowering her in the future. The cars main purpose is going to be autocross/tracking.
205/60 is good
Me too. Yokohama AVS ES 100's. $75 bucks ea from Tire Rack.Originally Posted by e30 Jeremy

I couldn't care less about looks. And I couldn't find any performance tires for 195/65/14. So it looks like I'm getting me some 205/60/14
You can get Falken Azenis sports in more or less the right size. Also, keep in mind that the basketweave wheels are 6.5" across and the bottlecaps are 6".

Have you run that particular tire on your car? The size is 195/60/14 is that ok to run? And how good do they perform. Coz as of now those look like what I'm gonna be getting.
That size is close enough so as not to matter. I haven't personally run them on my car, but I do know they are very popular for our cars. The only complaints I've heard are they aren't great in the rain (although not terrible), and that they're noisy and harsh. Being about as close to R-compound tires without actually being r-comps, this is to be expected.Originally Posted by cccp
Also, for prolonged track use they can get a little greasy. They are a better autox/aggressive street tire than a track tire.
Well the price is good and I don't care about how noisy they are or wet weather performance. So unless anyone knows a better tire for my application looks like I'm going with the falkens.
I have Falken Azenis sport tires on my bottle caps and man do they hook up or what.
205/60/14's here as well. Rides nice, looks good, and grips good.
Azenis will wear out VERY fast
