Help ease my mind ,,I have been reading some of your posts and had this expression from reading about the transmissions costing $6k,,,whats up with that,,I could get a Builit proof Trans for my GN that will hold up to 600hp for under $2K

are you picking it up or are you just looking?
Alusil vs. Nikasil block is the biggest issue. Make sure it's been swapped (I always confuse which one is the good one vs the bad one).

But please tell me what you meant above ,,they told me the block has been changed and that any BMW dealer could verify that the swap was done thru their computer ,,is this true
Also the rear sunshade need help closing it ,,wat could be the problem??
And the winshield leaks from the top by the passengers side where the glass and the roof meet??
do they have to destroy the windshield to get it out or is there away to get it out with out breaking it to reseal it??
Thanks for any help

you don't have to "destroy" the windshield (front glass), it's probably a job that a local shop could do for you, but it's not cheap $300-500 probably.
As for the block, you should be able to verify it based on receipts. Do a search for Alusil or Nikasil and you'll get lots of data (on this board).
As for the sunshade...hmmmm...you may want to get a Bentley manual for that car. You may have a bad motor, or bad runners
