I used to have a set of these installed in my car. they worked well and looked pretty much exactly like what Tinkwithanr posted up. Nice work, they look good.
As others have said, these may not solve a shimmy problem, but then neither will full poly bushings depending on how bad the problem is that's causing the shimmy. They will help improve it, and may solve it if it's minor.
I got a set from Jester, been busy, will install later. I like his engineering idea , full size and pinched by the recessed washers placement.

Can anyone post a pic mounted properly on their car yet?

tinkwithanr, it says "out-of-stock". Will you be making more?
So just another update, I finally got around to properly adjusting the wheel bearings per the above mentioned shop manual procedure. Now here’s the weird thing, the LF bearing was right where I set it but the RF seemed to be much looser. This was the one that was loose before I went down this whole road of replacing all the bearings and races. Does anyone have any idea how this RF could keep loosening itself? It did this with the old bearings/races as well as with the new ones.
Having said that, now that the LF has been loosened to proper spec and the RF is where ever is seems to want to go, which is fairly loose, the shimmy is mostly gone with the exhaust donuts behind the sway bar to control arm bushings. It obviously is still there but with it being moved up in speed by the donuts, the frequency went up but the magnitude went way down making it very tolerable. I am looking forward totrying the real anti-shimmy washers.
Thanks in advance,
Wally

Yes, I will be making more. I was planning on knocking some out this past weekend but I'm tied up finishing some bodywork on a car with a tight deadline. Once that's finished I'll make another batch of them. Hoping for this weekend or sometime next week. I'll let you know when they are back in stock.

I installed Tinkwithanr's home brew bushings today and they definitely made a big difference. The other control arm washers are flush on both sides. I need to tighten up the side I took pictures of today. Check out the before and after photo:

Seems reasonable to assume that would make a difference.
I'll for sure be ordering a set. Could be the best $20 I'll put in the car.
Sounds like we've all just learned to live with it, and $20 might just fix it.
The steering on my '79 has no shimmy whatsoever on the period lowered suspension. I guess the bushings are probably just rock-solid from sitting for 25 years.

Sorry for the delay, yes I am planning to make more. Just been tied up working long hours at my day job and not enough in the shop. I'm planning to take some time next weekend and knock a few more sets out.

Put me down for a set of these when you make some more!
I will take two more sets as well. I like to keep a few spares.

I would love to grab a set as well when you get them made. Also just noticed we are about 45 minutes from each other!
If you would ship I would be interested in a set as well.
Thanks
Jumping in late on the post here but I'll also take a set.
I want this kit for my 83 iS
There really needs to be a bushing on both sides of the suspension arm on the sway bar. The sway bar needs to pivot inside the suspension arm or you will have bending during suspension travel. If the sway bar is locked down too tight it will try and rotate the arm at it's connection to the sub-frame. At this point not sure you have gained as much as you are losing?
I made some out of medium hard thick rubber washers - can not remember where I find them and put one on each side.

I have stopped my shimmy issues in three of my E21's now by installing eurometric steering rack bushing.

I just got new control arms in the mail from RocAuto. I have some tie rods coming too so I'm gearing up to replace these parts (still need to get new tie rod boots and sway bar bushings).
But I'm wondering, will I be fine just replacing these parts or should I also install a pair of these anti-shimmy bushings as well? I haven't seen any movement on this thread recently so what's the status of another round of these bushings being made? Do new control arms/tie rods even need these anti-shimmy bushings? My shimmy is getting out of control so I'd like to do this project soon and get new tires and an alignment done. But I don't want to do all that work and still have a shimmy.
Thanks

I was hoping he would make a few more sets.... He went silent. Must be busy at work.

I've got control arms, tie rods, wheel bearings, and steering rack bushings ready to go on. Once I do this, I don't want to have to do it again. So if the bushings will help long term, I want them as well. Thinking about getting the control arm poly bushings put in my brand new control arms too. I want quick, nimble, and rock solid handling. I had one of these new and trying to get back to that. But better.
