How did they they fix it in the 179?
It occurred to me that the 059 could benefit from using thermal grease on those aluminium spacer things.
Just bringing the thread out of stasis for a bit. I'll be home for a spell around Thanksgiving (first time since last Christmas, now that I think on it) so I should be able to at least revive the car and jerry-rig a throttle cable. I'm just glad I put some fuel stabilizer in it before putting it away and changed the fluids. My Dad has been rather preoccupied with his latest toy, a yellow 1970 Barracuda AAR with the 340 (now more like 390, apparently) 6 pack, which lays out about 490 rwhp now. According to my mother, it sounds like World War 3 is here whenever he drives it. I can't wait to see it.
