I am proud to say that I am the new owner of a 1996 318i convertable. Here is the link to it: here
I go pick it up this weekend and drive it home. For the most part the car will remain stock. I might throw a short ram intake on it but thats about it. I also own a 95 Acura Integra and thats my mod car. This baby is just a daily cruser As you can see in the link it has around 100k on the clock. Anything you guys would suggest doing maintence wise beside just a basic tune up? Well thanks for your help and I will be around the forums.
Congrats on the new ride! Look clean.
That depends on the mainntenance history of the car. If you can get the maintenance records, then you can see if the previous owner was keeping up with standard maintenance items.Anything you guys would suggest doing maintence wise beside just a basic tune up?
I don't know much about the 4 cyl models, but I'm sure other forum members can add their input on required maintenance.

Thats a sweet ride for 8500! good luck with it. I see it has a manual top. Practice it a few times in a row and you'll eventually get it down to a science.

I have been searching a lot today. It seemed to have a server over load or something. Is this common?Originally Posted by XmEnNiNjA

Clean. Hey what are those little white specks on your steering wheel? I have the same thing on mine, don't know what its from.
Yes, that happens to me almost daily. It's very frustrating, but you'll get used to it. The information here is worth the wait.Originally Posted by E36bimmer318

Very nice - I envy you, that's a nice drive... though if you're taking any more than one adult with you - might be a bit crampedOriginally Posted by E36bimmer318

isnt 8k a bit too much? welcome however.
I see your in washington. This dealer by my place has a realllly nice black 325 or 328 (cant tell what it is from just driving by, but not a 318 for sure) convertible for like 7K.
I actually got a great deal on it. The price we paid is about 1k under book value.Originally Posted by neal1st

BMW and Honda car values seem really inflated in Seattle. An idiot friend of mine spent freakin $8k on a 94 325is. I got my 93 with 90k miles for $5k down in portland.
I'd say about $8k for a 96 vert is a fair price - not a steal for a 318, but a decent deal.
