    FS: '97 e39 540i 6 speed MANY MODS

    I really really don't want to do it, but I must put my car up for sale. I've put over $10,000 into modifications and improvements. Here are the details....

    1997 BMW 540i
    89,xxx miles
    4.4L V8
    Sport Package
    6 speed manual
    Jet Black / Black leather
    Moon Roof
    Heated Seats / Heated Steering wheel
    Power everything
    AM/FM/Cassette/6 CD changer
    Fold down rear seats

    MODIFICATOINS:
    19" AC Schnitzer Type III wheels (19x8.5 19x9.5)
    Dunlop SP 9000 tires
    H&R Sport springs
    Koni Adjustable shocks
    BenFer Performance CAI
    Eisenmann Race Exhaust

    Supersprint straight pipe
    Understeer.com short shifter
    CDV modification
    M5 front and rear bumpers
    M5 trunklid spoiler
    M5 grills
    Euro spec angel eye headlights

    Hardwired audio aux input (used for iPod)
    painted interior trim
    M illuminated shift knob

    I had the car on a dyno last fall and it put out 282HP / 306 lb/ft of torque to the wheels (approx 324HP at the engine - stock 282HP at the engine). Since then I've added the exhaust system so it should be pushing more now. I just had cooling system work done two months ago (replaced valley pan) and had the intake manifold gasket and valve cover gaskets replaced at the same time. The radiator is less than 1 year old. The car looks and drives amazing... I absoloutly love this car and hate to let her go. I'm asking $22,000 for her. If you would like any additional pictures please don't hesitate to ask.     Tell me about it... I can't express to you how much I love this thing, the only thing that keeps me from getting too upset is the goal of saving up for an M5 in a few years, then I won't feel so bad.

    Actually, this is the FIRST time I've ever tried to sell this car. I put a post up a few months back asking what everyone thought it was worth, worrying that I may loose my job and be forced to sell it... everyone that posted thought that it was up for sale then, it was not. I wish I didn't have to sell it... I hope it goes to someone that will take good care of it.
