i did my license plate lights in xenon, and they look great. I got the OBC error code before and after I changed them.
I still get it from time to time.

Question.. these look very cool. I hate the yellow light that greets my in the footwells every morning at 4am when I get in to goto work. These look like they would rock.
However...
I also really like the fade on / fade off feature. LED's tend not to be receptive to lower voltages, at a certain point they just don't light. How well is the fade retained?

Wow I need to do this NOW
ordered mine today, will installing these throw a OBC error? How about a DIY w/ pics?
You should only get a error if you put them in your license plate, and its fairly simple if you order the right lights. Also, I'm not sure if your aware but in my car i have ba9s (bayonet bulbs) and right now I don't know how to get them to work in the rear lights and dome reading lights. For getting them out all you have to do is lightly pry with a small screwdriver and it should pop out.

Throwing some additional resistors onto the license plate lights should kill the OBC error.
jensklemp -
Pics look great. I really want to install these now.
I'm also interested in knowing if the fade on & off is retained with these, but otherwise its a great idea!

Nice!
I use "quicktime alternative" and it doesn't have any of that annoying apple quicktime crap.
ANYWAY, lets get back on topic, its really your choice... if you cant watch a movie because you support windows that much we really ant do anything for you.
But now I got a question! I opened up my rear lights and then noticed there where bayolet (ba9s) or something like that in them. Can I rig something up to make the normal led lights fit in there. Here is a picture of what it looks like.

Does everyone just change the easy lights or something? I do NOT want to keep 4 lights yellow and the other ones clear!
