NICE
That looks really good from the pics. How do they compare in person? Do they look stock? I'm placing my order this weekend. According to that site you linked to it will also do fake and real untreated leather. I'm getting excited now, I'm getting tired of my tan interior and almost spent $1400 on an interior swap a few months ago.

I painted my rear side panels for the back of my coupe. Turned out great, gotta get some more dye and I am doing my door panels, and dash. The dash I am leaving in, masking off, and painting it on with a brush. WIll update this weekend.
So I can dye my leatherette seats with this stuff?
CJarret,
I'm not sure if I've seen Modena in person before, and it's kind of hard to tell in your pics, is it a dark gray?
Have you gotten any indication of how long the dye will last? I replaced my gray carpeting with black (anthracite). I didnt' get the right back section of carpeting (back piece), and a shop I found is sending out a piece dyed to match. They claim 2 years before any fading.
Anybody know how well the black matches the black dashboard pieces? Hmmmmm.

Ok someone try it on leatherette for us. I would but I am too chicken since my car is only a couple of weeks old.
BTW www.summitracing.com also sells the cans of dye.
CJarret,
One other question. Does the can list VHT's contact information? Or, at least, proper name of company and address. Thought I'd call 'em and see what they say about longevity.

Here is a pic of the modena color combo which I am obsessed to have.
As far as color matching and longevity for me goes, the color matching is near perfect, and I have rubbed, and scratched, and the stuff just wont come off. Its a dye unlike a surface paint.
I will try a small peice of leatherette this weekend, but I am almost positive that it will work.
man that looks awesome, did you have to take the pieces off when painting or did u masking tape the places you didnt want to spray? I want to turn some of my pieces black, keep up the good work

I took them all off, except the dash. WAY too hard, so I am goingto mask it this weekend and paint it by hand. Ill post more pics when that is done.
where can you get the hand kind? i think i would much rather use that then the spray, i would also like to paint my dash, well not paint, but dye, looks awesome man!

Im just going to spray the stuff into a bottle, and paint it on with a brush. Its a dye so it wont leave brush marks.. should look just as good as spraying it.
nice, maybe ill order a few cans to try

Really? Awesome, I am trying to convert my tan to modena... Post more pics if you can!
Thanks. I like it because its so obscure, especially with Alpine white. Fortunately, BMW didn't make too many Modena colored trim pieces and used black instead. I like the stark contrast of black against Modena. Looks like you have made good progress and it's definitely an improvent. You might want to consider dying the kick panels. Is there a particular part or section of the interior that you would like a photograph of??j Let me know, I'll find or take a pic for ya.Originally posted by CJarrett

This weekend I should finish it up, maybe not the headliner though, tough to get at.
I love tan leather, and carpet, but too much of it, is just that, too much. I don't like the glare the tan dashboard gives off either.
Thanks for the offer. Check back sunday or so for more updated pics.
