Best products to use/tips on washing car

Hi, i was just wondering, anyone care to post a link or products or any tips/tutorials on the best ways to wash the car starting from interior, to exterior, to wheels, etc.... I hear Meguiars is really good, how about Eagle One? that stuff looks like it's pretty good, well, post some tips/tutorials and shit u guys have...

Never use dishwasher fluid.
Never wax to often.
Do not wash in circular motions.
Never wipe car when dirty.
Make sure not to get any tire shine on the paint.

Most of the stuff I buy is Meguiars, I like their products.

If you have any type of stripes or stuff like that on your paint wax with the stripe.

On a dark coloured car wax with the lines of the car NOT in circles this minimizes swirl marks.

ok thanks, and oh yeah, one time i was drying my car off, i was using a regular white towel, should i just use a chamois instead? Some people told me a regular towel that is clean, is alright, but when i used it, some parts of the towel like come off, u know what i mean?

A clean soft terry towel is fine but a chamois will give better results and may be easier to use but dont let it touch the ground and use a different towel or chamois to dry your wheels

If you washed the towel in the regular wash...your fabric softener can remove alot of the wax you worked so hard to apply. Always wash your drying/wash towels separately and w/o bleach and/or fabric softener.....

If you do use a chamois, be careful what type-some can actually strip the wax off.

I use a California water blade. does a great job and does it quickly

If your car has wax on it, the you may want to wash with Dawn to get rid of it. Then consider a polish (moderately abraisive) or glaze (mildly abraisive) to get any scratches or swirl marks off and then wax.

People have also had great results with microfiber towels. They're pretty cheap from WalMart.
