FS: Front Porsche 993TT Brake Kit for E36 M3 (96-99)

Selling my Porsche 993TT Brake kit for BMW E36 M3 (96-99). The calipers are red and say ‘Porsche’ on them.

The kit is ideal for people who do much track time. With stock brakes you will eventually have brake problems. This Porsche Big Brake kit was sold to me by Steve D' Gerolamo at the Ultimate Garage.

The kit has many benefits. It is designed to be a street system. With 4 piston calipers on front you have much better performance on repeated stops than the single piston stock M3 units. Unlike some kits, parts for this systems are available as close as your nearest Porsche dealer. Porsche rotors, besides being thicker, also have the cooling holes cast into them rather than being drilled. Drilling causes stress and leads to cracking. And finally, you get 60% more pad area!

You DO NOT need to have the rear kit and will not suffer any brake balance problems with installing just the front kit. I used this kit at two track events at Limerock Park and saw many other E36 M3’s and an M Coupe with just this front kit and none of the cars had problems with the brake balance.

This kit is used, it has an estimated 1.1k miles of use and two track events, but is in very good shape. It includes:

    • Two (2) 322x32mm Porsche rotors with corresponding hats for E36 M3.
    • Two (2) 4-piston 2pc Red Porsche calipers (36/44mm), with pads that have 60% life left. Standard pad size is 75.5 sqcm.
    • Set of brand new Porsche brake pads.
    • All Corresponding brackets w/hardware.
    • One (1) Porsche brake wear sensor - Your BMW sensor is not compatible with the Porsche system. You need a sensor for the front left wheel. It will have to be spliced and heat shrinked into the BMW wire since it's not plug-in compatible. If you buy the rear kit, you'll need a sensor for the right rear also.
    • H&R hubcentric 15mm Spacer Set - Its unlikely your wheels will fit without hitting those nice fat new calipers. Kit will fit any stock E36 M3 wheel (96-99).
    • Ten (10) Longer lug bolts (12x50mm) - The new rotor hats are thicker. Plus there's the spacers.

Cost of new kit $2,495.00 at The Ultimate Garage but without the spacers, extra new brake pads, brake sensor and longer lug bolts.

My asking price is $1.8k OBO
