Gear shift removal ???

I am replacing my stock gear shift with a MOMO one. How do I take the old one off, is it twist off or pull???

heh heh heh....

just pull:

1) do NOT straddle the console to get better leverage.
2) use a pillow or somthing placed on top of the knob to protect you when you slam it into your head.
3) if you have a convertible, make sure the top is LOWERED, otherwise you WILL punch a hole in it.
4)... can't remember the others.
