Thumbs up Just purchased Blower for my M coupe!

Couldn't wait any longer. The coupe is quick, but there are too many Porsche Turbos around my way that need a wake up call.

I purchased a used SQ2 Vortech ERT kit. I will be getting it this weekend.

Water injection will be following shortly behind to keep the power up on the hot days.

Anyway, it will be nice to have boost again!!!:

Are you OBDII? Then, would that be the kit which uses the stock injectors and software, and only uses a rrfpr to supply the extra fuel required? Ive wondered, how is it that, without a device to rescale the HFM, all the extra air flow under boost, which far exceeds stock limits, ie 5.0v out of the hfm, doesnt trigger CE lights?

    Thanks for the support guys!
Psk 145 - You know I miss having the red M3's top end pull!
I would have to say the M coupe would be right up there stock till about 120 mph! After that the supercharged M would really spool up!

Regarding the kit, it comes with 36lb injectors but I will have access to 24s as well. The kit runs the stock HFM for OBD2. I will mix matching a few parts with a friends kit to make things optimal. Since the kit was designed for an OBD1 car, I will need the inlet pipe from a friends RMS OBD2 kit. The rest should be gravy...
Will be shooting for 8psi of boost with the water spray.
I will be sending my DME for reprogramming to accomodate the need for more air, fuel etc...

    Oh yeah!

Greg, so youre installing the OBDI ERT kit on your OBDII application...from what I understand, the OBDI kit was much better equipped than their obd2 one...Thats why I thought you only had a rrfpr to work with. If I may ask, who are you sending your OBDII ecu to for reprogramming? Since youre really making up your own kit out of some OBDI and some OBDII parts, wouldnt the tuner have to have your car their on the dyno in order to tune it properly? Without actually seeing the results of your HFM signal at part and full throttle, plus many other sensors, I dont know how accurately they'll be able to tune you...Let me know...thanks.

Probably just go for a stage 1 OBD2 burn. I won't be HP crazy at first, as long as things aren't lean.

May be sending the DME to Karl at AA. Not sure yet. A friend knows him well, so I may go with him. I've read great things about him, so I feel confident that he would do the right thing.

    Again it's a project...

My car goes in next week for a bunch of warranty stuff, so I will wait till after to strap the boost on. Though it's a friend working on the car(who's a member here), if a rep shows up, they get all bent out of shape when they see the blow dryer tucked under the bonet.

    William,
Have you spoken to Karl? You may also want to call Osh Kosh Bigosh... How hard would it be for you to convert your car to a obd1 325 setup? Is that even possible?

It'd be pretty simple to convert to OBD-1. Then, just have someone burn a chip for your motor. Then, you could go to bigger injectors rather than just running your injectors into static duration...

BTW, Willy, what are you using for a MAF clamp? or are you?
