Hello, my name is Mark, and it been 16 days, 8 hours and 27 minutes since my last timed run...........and only 4 days, 19 hours and ?? minutes until my NEXT!
Yeah I have an addiction, that has recently reawakened after a 25 year slumber. I run with the Phoenix SCCA and they run a great event every month with about 125+ cars at each race. A great group of racers and lots of variety of cars, we even have a couple nat champs running. Funny thing though, I just can't get anyone interested in starting a "save the cones" club. ..........., think of the money it would save buying replacement cones!
Ok, seriously, I'm having the most fun in YEARS (can you tell?) and I'm learning so much about my car and my abilities. All those years ago I ran a Datsun PU truck in B-mod, now I run a much different car in STX....a 1987 BMW 535is (euro'd by a previous owner) and have been pleasantly surprised at how well the 5er does in STX. After replacing old broken motor and tranny mounts with poly mounts last week and with the Spec E30 camber plates, just installed, this weekend should prove to be very interesting! I suspect it'll be another race or two before I get a good handle on the Falken RT615s and the new camber plates. I move to "open" catagory after the season ends in April, by then I should be ready to do battle!
May all your announced times end with "NO CONES"!
87 535is....all Euro'd up.

I build furniture www.gvasileff.com but took a year off to play. Now that it's been almost three years I think it's time to get back to it.
Haaa, ... life is Good and I can't wait to meet you all at the track in '08.

Currently I only auto-x but the plan is to hit a driving school about once or twice a year to learn how the car responds at speed and to sharpen my higher speed driving techniques.
I've heard about the PIR events in March and I may go out there, a lot of guys I know run with NASA. It may also be a great photo op!
Cheers,

I run Autocross locally and do well. Last year I went to a National Tour and Nationals, and was thoroughly spanked. Hoping to do an HPDE this year up at Brainerd International Raceway.

Been out of BMW's for 6 years.
Started autocrossing a '90 325is and moved onto DE's. Sold the e30 for a Porsche 944 Turbo (dumbest move ever!) and did some more DE's in that. In 2007, I ran all the GVC BMW events at WGI in the Mazda Miata that replaced the Porsche, and now I'm hoping to get a couple events in the M3, this year.

I've raced three times with our local club (Grand Bayou) with my nearly Spec-E36 '93 325is. Planning on running NASA & Spec-E36 this summer, definately o-fest at The Glen.
Hello Paul,
Will you be racing at NPR next weekend? I'm planing on being there for some testing and hopefuly race on Saturday. Have not race since O'Fest in Texas last September.
BTW, I'm looking into getting a BMW Club Race scheduled at NPR for the Fall.
Perhaps in conjunction with a Grand Bayou weekend.
Look forwar to meeting you.
Regards,
Steve Diniz - '03 Cooper S DM-53
hello, my name is Wade, I got into AutoX before i left for the desert and i was using my e30vert, its a 318 and it was fun as mess. I am now putting together my new 325. All i am awaiting now are my RE-01R;s to come in and put them on my 16" kosei's. I am going to be running STS with the 325i.

Hi Steve,
I plan on racing Saturday only, I'll look for you. I drive a rather crusty green 325 (#55), which would look even worse parked next to yours...you've got one cool car there! I would love to see a BMW race at NPR and am willing to help make it happen.
See you there,
Paul
Hello
I'm Frank Married with 2 children. Currently restoring to race a 79 Euro 635CSi With an S38 B35 motor. Currently in chassis shop for cage! I know it's not the best platform or even a good one but that's what I was dealt so I'm seeing it through. Bought it from a friend who beat it mercifully 10 years ago, sitting in garage since then! I pulled 4 cases of empty Buds out of it along with half his wardrobe! 2 of the 4 cases are my empties and the wardrobe, well I won't go their! Done a couple of DE's (Pocono long corse and the GLEN) and 1 autocross with no cones for 4 runs and had plenty of OPP on every run with an 04 WRX wagon. Not the fastest way but definitely fun! Traded the WRX and a sum of cash for my Excursion Diesel tow vehicle. Looking at Production class SCCA and some sort of modified class in NASA. Kind of stuck in the middle with current direction. Mechanic, heavy Equipment for a commuter R.R. You folks got some serious rides! C U in the Summer !

Just got into Autox and do it in the SF Bay area, just had my first event on the 9th @ Golden Gate Fields with the SCCA and had a blast! Even got to see one of my favorite cars of all time there, the Ariel Atom.
I'm a sucker for underpowered made for handling RWD sports cars.
