Auto X'd my 2001 330Ci coupe for the first time last weekend in Havelock NC.
I dont know anything really about classes and after i read the rule book i was just a tad bit more confused then when i had started. So the SCCA guys said i'd be classed in STX. I did fairly well, placed 5th in my STX class out of 7. I believe top spot was 58 seconds and i ran 61.9 on my best run.
I will be moving to the DSP class on August 15th to see how i measure up there.

Normally browse the bimmerfest forums but have been becoming more involved with bf.c lately.
Used to drag a 83 monte carlo (358 sb, 12.23 at 113 mph best), then moved into dodging cones with a 97 328is lightly modded, then upped the ante with a 94 euro. I sold that car and haven't auto-x'd since, but since the purchase of my new s50b30 euro I plan on entering more events.
I am also in the process of building a mk1 rabbit 16v for a track rat.
A lil late to post here , but picked up the "Track Bug" a few years ago when a few injuries sent me into a different kind of outdoor activity.
Started out with Bella (Z3) and since I wanted to do a few big tracks my instructors made me get a real roof ! Donna (E36 with some kinda roof) has minimum breathing and suspension mods done....and any $$ goes to repairs, INSTRUCTION and seat time.Lots of Instruction and seat time !
A big thank you for this Track Section posters for putting up an immense library of information here and especially posting reviews and videos if/when things sometimes don't go perfectly well.
New pilots can only learn from you.
Thank you,

car, well this changes alot. but right now a 1998 M3, with intake, exhaust, HR springs, racing dynamics swaybars, and strut bars. and a few more goodies
I generally do DEs and autocross in the new england area and karting. I am working on getting my SCCA license though.
Hey guys...new to BF.c and BMWs, but will be spending a lot of time in this section now that I bought a 99 M3 coupe for a track toy/semi-DD. I've got a decent amount of seat time in SE30s and one of our crap can racers is an E30.

I'm 26 and have been wiggling my way through cones off and on over the past 10 years, becoming a little more serious as of late, but found this thing called rallycross... OMGDIRT!!! Because of being responsible and stuff like that, though, I sold my beater/race car and am left with just my e46 DD/occasional autocrosser. But 6 months from now when I'm graduated, expect to see another e21/30 in the garage. (Subaru has been pissing me off lately, and they have lost another customer, and there is NO competition in the RWD classes here.)

At this point, I have been running cones in a beater 318ti with the Cincinnati SCCA. I quickly wanted more power and didn't want to put any more money into the 318ti and stumbled across this two owner '98 328i for $1500! I bought it non-running. The only thing wrong was that when Autozone put the new battery in, they forgot to tighten the battery cables! We tightened the battery cables and it runs like a watch. Hello racecar!
I am hooked on autocross and plan to run every event I can. I am preparing the 328i for STX and as a track day car. I am signing up for my first PDX at Mid-Ohio on 7/27, so I have a LOT of work to get done on the car between now and then! It is in great shape, but is bone stock.
I have really enjoyed hanging out with the local guys at the Cincinnati SCCA. It is a great group!

Greetings to all track junkies. This year I took a step into the deeper part of the DE pool. Tried out a AutoX cone chase. Even went out to beyond my normal area to try some tracks further out such as NJMP and Watkins Glen. My local track is NHMS, a nice track. Ran with the BMW White Mountain group on one occasion. Nice folks once you let them get settled into their stalls. I started into track events as part of a life change. Wanted a way to get out, meet new people, and start a new hobby. Darn hobby has turned out to be so much fun. AutoX is fun, different and lots of standing around. Track driving right now is where I want to be. And for the moment I am using my daily driver. Though I am constantly thinking and scheming on a dedicated track car. Any suggestions on how to make the jump from DEs to Racing-on-a-budget? I have IMs on every service, yet I am rarely ever on any of them. Like many others today, my computer travels on my hip everywhere. Just PM or TM. I hope to join up with BMW White Mountain for another event before winter comes.
Hi every one am also new here and glad to read this forum it is very informative am want to say that we have a auto parts company which sale good quality auto parts and provide replacement services to our customers.

I've been a BF member for a while. I don't post much but read a lot. I did a fair amount of DE in the early 2000 in the North East. I live in TN now and just bought a DE track car to get back into it.

First year BMWCCA member, AutoXer, and of last weekend, first year DE driver (MidOhio). Joined Boston BMWCCA on the recommendation of one of my clients, thought it would be fun way to make new friends and to enjoy my cars.
Think I might have the bug. Considering buying an e36 track car with a roll cage that can still pass MA inspection (Safety first! ). Looking forward to reading up on all the great information here.

Hi, I'm a new member here. My name is Randi. I had an 07 335i that I would autocross (just the fun laid back ones). Also had an 02 trans am WS6 that I drag raced. Now I have an 09 135i Dinan stage 2 that I can't wait to get out to some kind of track
Hey my names Morgan, from central connecticut, kind if a new member. Been on the e36 board for a while but now I'd like to get into racing. I have a 97 328i that I've been up keeping and slowly turning into a one purpose car. I'm interested in spec e36, but don't know enough about it. I live 45 minutes from limerock park, does anybody race there, or know if there's anything I could do there?

I guess this is the best place for a first post.
I have been tracking my 996 C4S for a little over a year now and made the decision to build an E36 track car.
I have heard the track forum here is the best out there for E36's. Looking forward to hanging out here and learning as much as I can.
Also, I never thought finding a decent 2 door E36 would be so tough.
