Any of u also use shims at the knuckle for more neg camber??

Such shims sold by several well know Bmw vendors

I have the shims, but just get some washers from Home Depot

Washers are fine. The shims get you extra fine increments which is nice if you don't have camber plates, but you can also just get thin washers from Mcmaster or such.
The thickness spec on washers can vary a lot, but I've never measured any real difference in washers from the same bag.

As you surely know, using shims to add camber closes the tire to strut gap, especially on the 1996+M3.
