My dealer still does not know any details i.e. options on the 03' M3s yet. I guess we'll have to wait.

'03 will have DVD navigation and possibily the option for the rear sunshade will be added to the list of available options. (It's an available option now, just not on the order sheet).
Let me get this straight... You are swapping out parts designed by hundreds of engineers that get paid thousands of dollars for something you bought at Pep Boys because your buddy who doesn't have a job told you it was 'better'?!?

"The non blowing up engine feature," that's so harsh, especially for '01 and '02'ers. BMW better do something about this. My local dealership is like "what engine failures?" Maybe if we are all just really quiet about it, it will go away by itself. What do you think BMW AG?

I have a friend at the dealer who slipped me some info... but said it was only a 80% chance.
