et45 should work for you, but I've never tried on my car. I think that's what people were running at autox when I asked about 9" all around on our cars.

They mention any rubbing issues? I would like to do 17x9 all the way around if possible.Originally Posted by JoeZ

I TRIED the M Roadstars on my 2.8 with those being 17x9 with a 40mm offset (i think, could be 45mm) in the rear. They DO NOT WORK ON A 2.8l!!!!!! The problem was the offset, I'm guessing you will run into the same problems. They stick out too much and rub. I ran 245/40/17 on them. If you don't mind having the tires make all kinds of noise from rubbing then it won't be a problem. That was kind of embassing for me. Having a nice car with tires that rub becasue they don't fit but look good is kind of ricey if you ask me. But i'm a little old school I guess.
Rear M Roadstars are 17X9 ET 8 (or 9 I can't remember) but they are a far cry from ET45.
Sorry to correct you as I hate it when people get all excited over nothing but the Roadstars have almost 1.5" more of offset...

so im safe et45 correct?
I was gonna say what Hipen said. If you tried a front Roadstar 7.5", that should have fit with no problems. If you tried to fit a rear Roadstar, well Duh .Originally Posted by MyCN18
Right you are Ken!
I would say so but I don't know what the max offset/width you can put on a Z3....Originally Posted by rayray
My front wheel is a 19x9 ET36 and it fits the front of my car (just barely) so I would say your pretty safe..

Better idea might be to go to an autox and talk one of the e36 guys into letting you test fit them on the front (rears should be no problem)
