    Cold Start Problem

    Hey All,
Got a question. For the last month, my 97 328 has had a "hard" time starting when cold (say not driven for about 9hrs). "Hard" as in it doesn't explode to life as it did a little while ago. It takes a few seconds of the starter now. Before, it was about 1/2 sec. and I couldn't even get my had off the key in time! I just changed out the plugs 3 months ago, and ALL the fluids in the car 2 days ago So if anyone knows what to do, or whats going on..... please

    same here ...

mine also takes 2-3 secs to start ...
    1994 325is with 140k
i think it is something related with
fuel not being readily available ...

maybe fuel pump leak or something ...
so until vacuum is created again ...
    it won't start ...

i had an integra before and when
you started the car (not cranking, just
turn the key) ... it activated the
pump immediately ... so that when cranking there was fuel ...

maybe the bimmer doesn't do this ...

    anyone ?
    be smart. don't chase birds.

Does anyone have vacuum hose routing diagrams for the E36? I did notice that the little flap on the exhaust nozzle doesn't work anymore. And Im assuming that it its vacuum operated. So that would mean I have a vacuum leak somewhere.
