thats a drain hole. could be ur rear main seal. and for the standard trans to leak is not as common. if thats what it is pull it out. put a new front gasket on it, and a new rear main, make sure u get hte dealer 1 which comes w/ the tool.
This shop ripped me off and they'll rip you off too!

its a 5 speed.. Im not looking forward to pulling the tranny out again.
the rear main motor seal has already been replaced like 50 miles ago

when you say rear main seal your talking about the tranny rear main seal correct? bc I already replaced the rear main in the engine.

Possible leaks from that area are the rear main on the engine (you already replaced) and an input shaft seal on the transmission.
maybe u didn't put it in correctly

Im sure I did and Its not motor oil leaking its tranny fluid wich would have nothing to do with the rear main on the engine.

it ended up being the input shaft seal, obviously the tranny needs to be dropped. do your self a favor and do the output shaft seal at the same time, the output shaft seal wasn't leaking but it was about to.

I have taken the tranny out but have yet to take the seal out. where is the output shaft seal and which exaclty is the input shaft seal? I can see a seal right when you take that black plate that the throw out bearning rest on but I cant take it out.
