We have a lot of tires in those sizes. Let me know what you are looking for and I can make a better recommendation.
I'm sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but you will definitely need to do some fender rolling or cutting with the 9.5 et38 wheel in the rear of a 92 325i with non-M rear bumper. The rim itself will stick out past the fender lip unfortunately so you may have to get creative about the fitment. A 245/35 tire will stretch on a 9.5 rim giving it an effective 30-profile sidewall which will help with fenderlip clearance but will not protect your rim from the road as well.Originally Posted by atlantisvip
Once you get the rims, test fit some tires and see what exactly will need to be done. If you need to roll the fenders, Jim and TireRack sell a fender rolling tool for $299 that will make this job a snap.
Hope that helps.

im looking at a wheel/tire combo on ebay.
17"x7" Offset 36 (All Four), with 5x114.3 bolt pattern
I understand tire sizes, but when it comes to offset and the like I don't really get it.
17x7 I know will surely fit. The tires are 225/50/17 all around. Will I have any problems?

upcoming mods:
(ordered) Cosmos CAI
(summer project) aftermarket bumpers + painted bumpers/skirts
That bolt pattern won't work. You need 5x120.Originally Posted by Darkmage

2005 m3, friend lookin to fit 20" on his car. Trying to push him towards something from Iforged. size-20x8.5 front and 20x10 in the rear.
Would these fit okay? No suspension mods are done to the car.
Also, what size tire would work best?

Looking into 18" ASA AR1 for my E36 M3.
I have rolled fenders and am running 18x8 as of right now. I just bought Eagle F1s but foudn out I have a cracked wheel so Im scrapping them. How much bigger is the lip on the 18x9 versus 18x8. I dont care to do a staggered setup but 18x9 would look great, if I knew they were going to fit.
I know Ill have to get new tires if I go to 18x9. How big is that lip on the 8"? Need to know soon..nobody else can provide info!
I have an 01 330Ci- would like to put 17x8.5 BBS RA's all around, what would be the 'recomended' tire size? I'm not looking for rubber bands but I don't want any rubbing or other types of issues. An actual tire recomendation would be great too, something in the $150 area, preferably french Anything else I should know? Need to get wheels ASAP as my stock wheels are um square. Thanks!
Nevermind, I placed my order this morning.
(I've been playing phone tag ever since and I'm really dissapointed because so many people have recomended the Tire Rack. There's no way I'm dealing with this phone number nonsense ever again, so I'll take my money elsewhere next time )
I don't remember getting a phone message but I apologize for not being able to answer right away. I take about 150 phone calls a day and it does get busy. I do try to get back as soon as possible with my phone messages.
I hope you got everything you needed.
I didnt call you specifically, it started with a call from Terri and my mom and I had to speak to her and some other guy like 9 times.
Hello everyone>>new to the site!,
This is a great forum, I have learned alot in just a few days of reading. My question is: I'm looking at getting some new wheels and tires and need some help. My 2000 323I is stock with SP & PR. package. Can I put an 18X8 -225/40/18 all the way around without rubbing or would I be better off going with a 17X8? Thanks for any help!!!! I will be adding pic. soon. ps. if anyone has this set up with a 323I or similar please send me some pictures.

The 18X8 and 225/40R18 would be a great set up for the car. If I can help with the wheels and tires let me know.
I have a 95 325 e36, I am looking to change my tires which are currently Bridgestone, Potenzas, 235/40ZR17's x 8.5 all around. Upon looking at the site I am thinking about changing to 18's, maybe 19's. But I am little confused on this offset thing. My car is lowered also.
What do I need to look at to buy new rims for my car, I see alot of mentioning on offset and some saying they fit without spacers. Can I go to 18's if so what size can I go to stagger or keep them all alike?
The 18" is going to fit better than the 19". You would run a 225/40R18 and they would fit fine. You are going to look at about a 18X8 wheel with areound a 40mm offset.
If I can help let me know.
Thank you,
These are 235/40 17. I'd like to get 18X8 all around.
I'm wondering if 18s whould fit my car without changing anything of the suspension setup. I'm afraid it might be too low..but may be it's not
I hope you guys experience can tell !
And what would be a good tire size ? I was thinking 225/40 18.
Switching from 235/40 17 to 225/40 18 is a 2.73% increase of the wheel circumfence (approx 2.1inches)
What do you guys think ?

You can go to the 235/35R18 and keep the same width and height. The only problem is there are not many tires available in those sizes.
would the 19" m5 wheels fit on the e90?
Afternoon folks,
I've had my 330 for a while now and I am looking to give her a new look. I have looked at hundreds of rims but when it boils down to it I really like the M5 rims. Most sites I go to say they won't fit unless I do a 18 x 8 all around. I found this setup from Wheel Exchange Sizes: 18" x 8" ET 20 & 18 x 9.5" ET 24. Of course they too said no, however I keep reading mags talking about wheels bigger then these being put on a 3 series. I admit I don't know enough about the subject but I want to learn. Is it possible to do it?. What are the pros & cons? If it can be done but not suggested, why? With the natural flair in the wheel well I think it would look great. Would I need to have my wheel well "rolled"? Is there a spacing kit that will allow me to mount the rear and not destroy the "ride"?
Any help or suggestions you could give would be appreciated. Caio...jb
The 5 Series wheels will not fit your car. The offset is too low and they will stick out of the wheel well. You can go to 18" wheels no problem but the offsets need to be around 40mm.
If I can help let me know.
Thanks Jim, I understand now and I learned a lot from some of the other posts. Especially the links to Tire Rack that explains the off set in detail. I can go with a rim that is 9.5 in the rear as long as the offset is around 40mm?
