i am looking for some new wheels for my e36 328i cabrio with stock sport package, i came across a deal. 19x8.5 with a 38mm offset for the the front and 19x9.5 with a 38mm. have the same option with a 20mm for the front and 30 for the rear. thinking of running a 225/35 in the front and 235/35 but am also into the new stretching of the tieres thing, if i wanted to go with the stretching what size tire shoud i run! also will this set up work on my car with out rubbing? or should i size it down some? really set on 19s.

The 38mm can work with some modification. You will need to roll the fender lip and or run more negative camber. The tire sizes you mention are the correct sizes.
If I can help let me know.
Thanks Jim!
One more question! I am currently deployed in iraq and having my father put the wheels on! what do you think it will cost to get the fenders and camber adjusted? Thanks Again
The camber is just going to have an alignment done. A good body shop or speed shop can roll the fender lips. I am not sure how much it would cost though. I would just do the alignment first and it may be all you need to do.
I've done a search and have found that E36 and E46's can share wheels, but 16" was stock on E46, while 15" was stock on E36
My questions is - can you fit a 15" E36 wheel on an E46 and clear the brakes, etc?
I'm asking this question for a snow tire set up- not for a performance upgrade, obviously!
Thanks!
Your answer is not the 15" will not fit the E46 and actually does not fit all of the E36 either. As far as that goes even the 16" wheels do not fit all of the E46 cars.

18" CSL reps @ 18x8.5 all around
stock sport suspension.
Recommended tires? What abotu spacers, will they be necessary?
Gone, but never forgotten:
'09 335i - Alpine white + Coral Red | '02 M5 - Imola Red + Imola Red
'04 E55 AMG Brilliant Silver / Anthracite .. '96 318i Alpine White / Black .. '01 330Ci Titanium Silver / Coral Red .. '96 328i Jet Black / Black
The tire size for either wheel would be 225/40R18. Whether you need a spacer or not depends on the offset of the wheel.
will this fit on my 335:
FRONT: 20x8.5 offset 25
REAR: 20x10.5 offset 18
thanks
I am looking for winter wheel tire combo and came across somebody selling their combo from 5-series (E34)
Will these tire/wheel set fit my 97 M3? and another important question is this tire size best for snow traction?. I have read 205/ 55/16 is a good choice for M3 in winter. How many miles these usually last?
Wheels are aluminum Borbet Type C: 16" x7.5", 5 x 120, +20mm offset.
Tires are Bridgestone Blizzak WS-50: 225/55/16, studless
Thanks
my car is slammed with apex springs 19x8.5's with 215/35/19 bfg g-force kow tires. i'm wondering if i could go 19x9's at all ? or even to increase the meat in the back of my tires? 225?
The 19X9 can work on the rear but not on the front. You can go with the wider rear tires on the wheels you have now. If I can help let me know.
hey i've been wondering. i wanted to get bridgestone re050a PP but they dont come in 275/35/18. for a e46 m3 whats the next best size i can go
Im looking at purchasing black asa ar1's for my whip..... from tirerack of course .....I was planning on buying the 18x8, 18x9 rear... problem is I have koni's paired with eibach pro kit.....which tires would I need for the 18" asa's without modification (fender rolling). Do you think 18x8 all around would be better? Or would 17s be the only solution for no rubbing issues.
///Mmmmmmmm
would there be any fitment issues with a 275\40\18? the other size they have is 265\35\18.
99hellrotM,
The size I would recommend would be 225/40R18 front and 245/35R18 or 255/35R18 rear. You can also just run the 225/40R18 all the way around. Even though the rear tires are narrower it will reduce the understeer and handle a little better. The wider tires and wheels do look good on the car.
If I can help let me know.
I have a 01 325i will 18x10 fit and ride well on the rear
if not whats the widest i could go
Without modification the 18X10 is not going to work. The widest I would say, and it still requires some modification would be the 18X9.5 with a 255/35R18 tire.
If I can help let me know.
How about 215-55-17 for a 92 325i's set of winter tires on 17" with H&R lowering springs?
I have a 94 325 with stock 15'' wheels. I'm looking at buying a set of 16'' Mille Miglia Spiders to use for winter wheels. They already have a set of 205/55 tires mounted. The seller used them on his 99 M3.
Will these wheels/tires fit properly on my 325 without any modifications or issues when I switch back to the summer wheels?
What's the biggest 18" wheels and tires I can fit on my 00 528i without modifying the body?
Tires 275/35 front, 285/30 rear. Wheels 9.5 front 10.5-11 rear.
I'm running 275/35-18 on all fours on 9"wheels. Been doing it for years. Can rotate and/or flip for max miles. I keep the best two take-offs when getting new ones for emergencies like cutting a tire. Then I can just whip on the spare from my garage till I get a replacement or just let it wear down with the rest. Lots of options with 4 corners alike and it makes the car handle like a go cart. No understeer, all four will beak and slide laterally together.
