I have a 2008 328i. Just picked up some OZ ultraleggera wheels for it. They are Front: 18x8 w/ a 40mm offset and Rear: 18x9 w/ a 40mm offset. Would I have any rubbing issues with these offsets? Also if there were rubbing issues would wheel spacers fix that sort of issue?
Sooo... just bought a set of Rial Imola 2 piece wheels. They are staggered but the price was so right I could not pass up on them. Guy had them on an M3 or so he says. They are 17x8 ET38 up front and 17x8.5 ET20 in the rear. What size tires am I putting on these for max performance in HPDE? I do not want a dedicated track tire...yet.
I know I would be better off with a square set up but if I wanted to make these work how do I do it? I am currently running stock springs with M3 billy sports in the rear. Stock up front. I will change the springs out ASAP for either stock M3 or H&R OE sports depending on what I can pick up used. Thanks.

I'd like to get a square setup lightweight wheels and performance tires for Autocross / track that I can interchange between both cars. What wheels will fit both cars and offer the best performance? What tire dimensions will offer best square setup and remain close to the 25" diameter on both cars? I've searched this thread and the forum but not found the answer. Having done some research at Tirerack and TMS it looks like 18" x 8.5" rims would work, with maybe a 235/40 or 245/35 tire. Has anyone already worked this particular combo out by taking 335 rims and using them on a Z4?
