I am not sure why you would need a spacer. The 35mm is already low. The correct tire size on a 16X8 is going to be a 225/50R16.

I think you would be fine with a 215/50. Also, Why no spacers in the rear?

BTW: 16s are FTL. especially when slammed they look too small on an E36. I would go with 17s or 18s if I were you. But i guess with no suspension travel left on your car you have to make up for it with a thick sidewall.

How is it possible you can drive with the car like that? the front bumper cant be more than an inch off of the ground!

If thats how you want it, I would try a 215/45.

    Jim,

Looking for a winter tire and/or wheel combo.

    I have a 2007 335i sedan with sport package / 18" wheels + tires.
OE size tires on my car right now are 225/40-18 front and 255/35-18 rear.

Can 17" wheels fit this car? Visually it seems that they wouldn't fit the front, but I could be wrong. It just appears that there isn't any room to go smaller.
For what it's worth, the Tire Rack online wheel fitment guide only shows 18" and up when I enter the details for my car, which goes against everything else I'm reading here that shows others with a 335i who seem to be running 17" setup for the winter.

If 17" will fit, then is 225/45-17 the best size for winter, say on an 18x8" wheel at all 4 corners?

EDIT: I think I answered my own question. I failed at the Tire Rack web site today. :o I found a bunch of 17" fitments, so it looks like I'm good. 17x8 wheel such as the Rial Salerno.
That leads me to my next question: When might you have TPMS sensors available? The web site tells me they're out of stock.

    Hey,
I'm looking at winter tires for my e36. The factory 15" rims have 215/60/15 on them, Will I have any problems running 215/65/15 winter tires on these rims?

    Thanks!

    garf,

You actually should run a 205/60R15 or 195/65R15 for the winter. A wider tire is not going to work as well in the winter. If I can help let me know.

    Hi Max,

The 17" for the winter is the better option and they fit fine. We have the OE sensors here and ready to go. We would send the package mounted and balanced with the sensors installed. If I can help with the package just let me know.

    Hello,
Do you know if the C3M wheel by TR will fit an E30? Its a 15x9 rim that tire rack sells for 109$. It says miata only so I assume the lug spacing is right, but will the offset be all messed up? I would like to put 275/35ZR15 hoosier a6's on them.

    colinE30,

I suppose with fender modification and about a 30mm spacer it could work. If I can help let me know.

    docleary,

You would need about an 18mm spacer. The tires in either a 195/65R14 or 205/60R14 would be needed.

Thanks a bunch. I am not so worried about the fenders, 30 mm sounds rather big.. am I wrong here? It seems like I would be changing the geometry way too much... I am looking to run DSP and it seems like the 275 is sorta a must have, so is this how most guys do it?

    E34 Wheel Fitment

    Hello,

I am purchasing some 17x8.5 Breyton Magics. They are et13 and were made for an e39. Would I be able to run those on my e34 with bilsteins and H&R sports without having to roll the fenders? Also what tire size should I run on them.

    Thanks much.

They should fit. You may need to add more negative camber.

    e39 style 33

I am thinking about putting a spare set of wheels I have on my 98 528.they are style 33 which I believe are 540 wheels. There are a set of
225 65r16 new tires at our now defunct dealership. will these fit OK?
I think the correct stock tires would be 225 55 r16.

If the tires are in fact 225/65R16 they are too tall and will not fit. If they are 225/55R16 they should work.

I have an E34 and I am going to be running Style 65 E39 M5 wheels. Right now I have 18x8s all around with 235/40 on them with good success. The fronts have probably 5mm spacers and the rears have a 10mm spacers right now. I just bought 2 18x9.5 rear wheels. So I am guessing I need to ditch the rear spacers. BUT my question is: is a good tire setup for these staggered wheels, 235/40 in the front and 265/35 in the rear? I also have a drop of around 40mm in the front and 25 in the rear.
