Ok so 10mm, Is there a problem with the way I'm running right now? 205/60/14's? I bought the car with this size on them, pre-drop.Originally Posted by Jim@tirerack

I'm looking for H&R 10mm spacers for my e30, but all I see are 8 and 15. Could you recommend something in a 10mm?

i'm looking at some 17x8 wheels with the option of 35mm or 41mm offset, are there any advantage to either offset?
41mm is stock offset and will be the best and less likely to encounter rubbing depending on tire choice as well as suspension.Originally Posted by jcoook
I've got 19x8s (offset 38) in the front of my E36 and when I make sharp turns either way the tires rub against the inside of the well.. On the metal of the car.. Do I need to get a spacer for this ? If so, how big ?
Thanks

start off with a 5mmOriginally Posted by atlantisvip
Just as a note, today I installed 18"x9.5" +22 wheels (M5 rear wheels) on my 2002 530i (E39) with 265/35-18 tires (GoodYear F1 GS-D3 tires). I am using a 5mm spacer on the front, and have no rubbing at all, and lock-to-lock on the steering is perfect. I can't garuntee this will work on all E39's, as I only have about 1mm of clearance between the front tires and the strut body, but other than that everything fits fine.
Slow cars are quite possibly the most fun to own: you can push to extract all the performance you want on a daily basis without getting a ticket.
Wow. .I didnt know M5 rear wheels were a direct fit on E39s..Originally Posted by CobaltFire

Noone else was sure they would fit, either, but I took the risk. I am here to tell you they fit fine, but use a 5mm spacer, not the 3mm that the M5 guys use. I have a feeling that the more aggressive camber on the M5 lends a little more clearance to the strut body up front. On a side note, since I didn't specify it, these are 2000-2003 M5 wheels (E39).

Nice.. Whats the deal with the front wheels ? Did you use the stock M5s also ?Originally Posted by CobaltFire

Yes, I used the M5 REAR wheels at all 4 corners. So instead of the standard 245/275 18x8.5/18x9.5 M5 tire/wheel sizes, I used 265/265 18x9.5/18x9.5. This allows me to rotate them as well.

What is the largest size wheel/tire I could put on my car without rubbing. I have a 2006 325i.
I'm thinking of getting something like the following:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...e=STRK:MEWA:IT
Front: 18x8
Rear: 18x9
Will these fit on a standard (struts and springs are OEM) 1998 328is without any fender modifications? Will I need anything other than the rims (ie spacers, etc.)? What tire size would you recommend?
I stopped by at tirerack.com and wnt through the upgrade garage, and it showed quite a few 8" front rims and 9" rear rims for my car. I just want to make sure I don't need to do any additional modifications.
Thanks!!!

thanks, they are m5 replica.
This is probably a dumb question, but will the wheels that come on the E46 M3 Competition Package fit on an E39 M5? TIA - Chris
The M3 wheels will not work on the M5. The load capacity is too low and the offset on the front wheel is wrong.
The add for the wheels does not list the offsets so be careful.

What do you think, will they fit on a 1998 328is with stock suspension and stock body (i.e. no modified fenders, wide body kits, etc.).
Thanks!
If people take as much time as they take to post to actually read the thread; They wouldn't be asking so many questions on wheel fitments. This thread is a dead horse.
