Hi to all.
I'm talking to an individual who is selling used, supposedly original BMW rims from a 2012 X3 with Dunlop winter tires on them. I asked him for the offset and other numbers from the back of the rims to see if they'll work with my 2015 X3 xDrive35i, and he gave me these in a text message:
Tires
245/50R18 100H
On the rims
Bmw 676/828
85x18EH2
1s24
He doesn't own the 2012 X3, he got the wheels+tires from his brother who sold the car a couple years back.
Can someone here in the forum help me understand what the three wheel numbers represent, e.g. offset, etc.?
I want to check them against info from https://www.wheel-size.com/ to be reasonably confident that the wheels will fit on my car before I drive 80 miles to see the wheels+tires first-hand. None of the numbers that the seller provided match anything that I'm seeing on wheel-size.com.
Would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Bill
Thanks so much, Mikyzz4. That helps a lot.
I like the tyreleader.co.uk site you referenced. Hadn't come across that one before you linked to it.
I've been told that I'll need 40+ mm of offset for my X3 wheels, so the used ones that I'd been eyeballing (with 24 mm) presumably won't work.
Thanks again!
Great,
I try to help when I can!
