2014 F10 - 528i xDrive wheels

Hey all, I'm new to BF & BMW's in general and kinda overwhelmed on where to look for info.

My GF picked up a 2014 F10 - 528i xDrive yada yada. It has an msport package with 18" wheels.....and I need to know if I can fit 17's for winter wheels. I see on a few sites that 17x8's DO fit, but I'm either retarded (most likely) or merely having difficulty finding anything definitive as if there's a difference in the stock setups using the 17" vs 18" wheels.

Ideally I'm looking for OEM 17x8 F10 wheels for the winters.
