I am going to be replacing rotors, pads and fluids shortly...do i need the brake sensors? and what exactly do they do? Thanks

id call the stealership and ask them to be sure.
My sensors are tied off.
The brake pad wear sensors are a one time use item, meaning that if your brake pad light has come on in your guage cluster, you need to replace the sensor. They're inserted into a slot on the brake pads, and when the pads wear down to a certain level, it wears of the sensor and triggers the dash light. If the light hasn't come on yet, you can reuse your old sensors, but they're somewhat fragile, so there's a chance you could break them removing them from your old pads. It'd be much easier if you got some new ones just in case...they're pretty cheap.

The rear sensors are very sensitive so be careful but yeah they run for about $20-25 at the dealership.
