what's the different between the 05/92 and the 06/92 suspension.

    Hi.
I want to put a later 92/06 and up suspension.
    on my early 92/05 E36.
What do I need to convert this set up.
    or is it bolt on?

the early 92 front suspension resembles that of the E36 M3. Try to do a search for it....I'm not entirely sure what you need. I think you need new strut bearings and upper spring plates, and the complete sway bar assembly (links, bushings and bar), but again try a search....I've seen a couple threads on it.

I believe its similar to the e36 M3 suspension only in that the sways are tab mounted onto the shock assy. itself ... and i believe that only applies to the EARLY early '92s, as in production dates thru 10/91. Then everything changed from 11/91-5/92, as you realized. Its not a direct bolt on.

Understeer.com sells a kit with everything you need to get your car up to spec. to run a 6/92 and up suspension. IIRC its about $165. i'm sure you could piece together all the parts yourself, but the kit seems pretty convenient. i'm sure bimmer95 from understeer.com could answer any of your questions.
