I have an Alpine CHA-S624 CD Changer, and recently it's been giving me an ERROR 1. It goes through all the CDs (checking them) and refuses to play. Anyone know what's wrong? Is it just a magazine problem or do I have to buy a new CD changer?
Bump.
ever find out the problem? I have the same changer and having problems too..
I had the same problem and I found that the ai-net cable was pinched between my seats. hope that helps.

i realize this is very old, but did anyone else find a sollution or what the problem is. my changer is in the glove box, so the chances of the cable being pinched are quite small.

I know how you can fix this problem once and for all. Get an iPod and DICE Link! \
Seriously though, who still uses CDs? This thread is so 1990s...

anyone who likes their music to sound as good as it can.
I guess if you ripped your songs to your ipod as .wav (lol I finally bought my wife one btw, and everything on it is .wav) so it is a bit for bit bitstream copy of the track it wouldn't be so bad... if you had a means of using better D/A than what is in the ipod. not common.
.7-.8 GB per CD, 10mb per minute, 1411 kbps... you run out of room on most ipods about as soon as a Cd changer, and they cost MORE.
