FENDER MODIFICATION: Okay here let me explain.......Most everyone when talking about fender rolling actually just do exactly that. Roll the fender. But the fender is still thick and still close to the outer tire. What I did at my shop was take a grinder and cut the entire inner fender lip. This is a very delicate proceedure and is only recomended for a profesional. I then sanded it down, trimed some extra sheet metal, trimed my inner rear bumper, masked my fender and primered the inner fender. This is to prevent rusting. And there you have it. This is the way to go when pushing wide tires for high powered M3's. I've done about 3 other supercharged M3's in my area alone. I only charge them $25 bucks a side.

I also did my buddie's 97 4dr ///M3 and did a combination of fender cutting and rolling. He is rolling on 19X9.5 Hartge Classics with 275/30/19 tires. OH and he is rolling on H&R RACE springs
It handles incredibly crazy, that thing flies on twisties as if he was on RAILS.

Sounds sweet. Do you have any interior pics?

The fender job doesn't sound too hard. I will shoot you a detailed email later this week to ask you a few more questions about this process.

    Thanks

Well, AC Schnitzer recommends 225/40/18s all around on their 18x8.5 tires (for the non-staggered look). Staggered would be 225/40/18 in the fronts and 255/35/18 rear. I had this setup on my car when I purchased it (225/40/18s all around). Pretty thin tires if you ask me but hey, I can't really complain seeing as the tires were brand new (well, about 10 miles on them). I'll change out the rears to 255/35/18 when I get a chance.

Anyway, here is an older shot of my wheels. Surprised that I'm only the SECOND person on here with these wheels (third with ACS ones, I believe). 18x8.5 et43 all around with 225/40/18 tires. 7mm spacers in front dropped on GC coils (w/ cc plates). 10.75" height in rear (about 2.25" drop) and 11.50" in front (about 2.5" drop).

The rims that everyone hates here (but I love) :

    Racing Dynamics RD5's 18x8.5 on 235/40/18 ES100's

(I have a black rear bumper now)

Welll, at least I can say I'm the only one wearing these rims here.

What's the difference between the two RD wheels? They look the same but one's RGR and the other is RD5 or something.

There was someone on this forum selling a set of four of them (18x8.5, I believe) with tires on two of them for around $800-900, I believe. This was a while ago and I was going to buy them but then decided not to since I love my wheels too much (just thought it was a good deal).

Look closely at the wheels. The RGS has more of a rounded spoke and the RGR has a sharper style.
