    Question '93 318is - Q's from a new owner

Recently bought a '93 318is--during a snowstorm in March, no less!

    Some Q's I have:

    1) how to change the time/date-type settings?

The car came with yokohama snow tires so I need to get a set of summer tires.

    2) What does anyone suggest as a good summer tire that offers good handling and decent treadlife but doesn't cost as much as e.g. michelin's Pilot line?e.g. :

kuhmos...about as cheap as a good quality tire comes
i have them on my 318 and they feel great.
many love the kuhmos, and about the only people who don't seem to like them are the m3 owners, and others that have a lot of power under the hood.
these guys almost need a high performance tire like the SO3s or something. dont worry about it in your 318. it'll be an excellent tire for dry grip and even wet, with excellent life span.
my 225/45/17s were $99 a piece, i don't know what size your looking for( probably 15s if snow tires were on?), but it'll probably be cheaper than that.:

    on your date time set:
hold the clock button until it says "input time" on the computer display. then use the "1"10" 100"1000" to switch the numbers on each character line on the time display. once done push the set/reset button and your time is changed. do the same for the date button.

Hes gotta 318 dont think he has a computer.
Their should be a time/date button next to the Set button. Hold the time/date button for like 3-5seconds till your : is blinking on the clock when its blinking then use the hr or min button to adjust the time then push Set and your done. Thats how I have todo mine.

If for your 318 you still have stock 15's I say upgrade to 17's but if your keeping your 15' rims I had some Yokohama tires that lasted me forever. 215/55/15 I believe was the size they handled pretty good. Cost around $60 per tire.
