THIS QUESTION IS A LITTLE TECHNICAL IF ANYONE CAN HELP OR HAS DONE THIS SWAP.

I HAVE A 95 325ICA WITH THE SEMI-AUTOMATIC OPENING CLOSING POWER TOP.

I JUST SWAPPED IN A 1999 FULLY SELF LATCHING AND UNLATCHING POWERTOP FRAME INTO THE CAR.

I RE-ROUTED THE ADDITIONAL WIRING FOR THE OPEN AND CLOSE SIGNAL FOR THE FRONT LATCHING/UNLATCHING MOTOR FROM THE NEW TOP INTO THE POWER TOP CONTROL MODULE AND I RE-ROUTED THE NEW OPEN AND CLOSE SIGNAL WIRES AND DISCONNECTED THE 'BLUE WITH YELLOW STRIPE WIRE FROM THE CONNECTOR AS THERE IS NO "POSITION SWITCH" ON THE AUTOMATIC TOP AND I CAN'T GET THE TOP TO RESET THE MOTORS AND TO OPEN AND CLOSE.

I DID NOT INSTALL A NEW OPEN AND CLOSE PANEL SWITCH WITH LED. DO I NEED TO DO THAT TO MAKE THE TOP FUNCTIONAL?

I ALSO NOTICED IN THE BENTLEY WIRING DIAGRAMS FOR THE 1998 FULLY AUTOMATIC TOP THAT THE RPS MODULE WIRE POSITIONS ARE DIFFERENT TO THE POWERTOP CONTROL MODULE. DO I NEED TO CHANGE THE WIRE OUTPUT POINTS ON THE RPS MODULE TO THE POWERTOP CONTROL MODULE TO GET THE TOP TO OPERATE?

I HAVE CHECKED ALL FUSES AND THEY ARE OK AS WELL AS WIRING.
