    VANOS question for the experts

Does anyone out there know the proper procedure to test if the VANOS system is switching to the different cam at 4000 RPM's?? Thanks

I think you should begin by understanding how VANOS works, there's no "different" cam in your car, just two cams.

Because a car has a torque curve.

    Vanos works continuously.

Anyway, if the car feels dead, then vanos aint working. The setting can stop on a variety of modes, so leave it further open or shut.

Does it not feel as quick as before?
