I live in Perth, Western Australia, but still a Kiwi!
Want a BMW 88'/ 89' M6
May sell all 3 above and buy a very rare 81' BMW M535i (E12): very nice solid little beasts and only 200 left (registered) out of 1806 built world wide!
Having decision making delemas at the moment!

I hate you, alot, well not really, horribly envious howeverOriginally Posted by mysexy6
How do you like the 6'er? (one of the sexiest bmw's ever made)
Hi Viking 325i,
I absolutely love them! ( The 6 series that is). They have a unique style that has been lost... shame they couldn't have worked something more similar into the style (front end) new M6Awesome engine and nice rear end though.
Aston Marton has atleast maintained its unique look and snubbed the change to more rounded front profile.
The best bit is it has a 5 speed dog-leg getrag gearbox!(plenty around with automatic transmissions... what the?
)
Have a spare engine, gear box (getrag= rear as rocking horse shit), + LSD, etc.
AND a set of Alpina mags... extra yummy.
Will post photos soon, but not until I get back from home (NZ) on holiday.
Oh, and not as much money in the bank as I used to. But worth it.![]()
You done much to your 325i? How do you know about Quokkas... they are local to my neck of the woods (Rottnest Island, WA).
The 1981 M535i E12 is probably the most worthy restoration project but would have to sell the 6. I drove one and holly cow! What a beast!![]()
Cheers

Sounds like you really lucked out with a nice one. I've seen several around locally for sale but most havent enspired confidence. Typically auto 633's for $11,000 or so (like I'm going to pay that
Cant wait to see the pics of it.
The 325i is stock and probably will stay that way, hopefully this year I'll pick up another E36 325i and strip the engine, rebuilt it, but throw in some M3 cams, new 96+ retainers and valve springs, intake, elec fan and some pulleys. Of course suspension will get replaced with coilovers. It will do for a basic start into the clubsport motorsport series and should be a fun project. If it works out well and I want more power I'll swap the engine out into my daily driver E36 and then use the one that comes out of there for a FI project![]()

Has anyone in Auckland (or anywhere in NZ for that matter) had to get a door lock replaced?
Someone tried to break into my 1989 E34 535i one night last week - they didn't get in , but they destroyed the drivers door lock.
If so, did you do it yourself - did you order a matching lock or what? If you took it somewhere - who fixed it and how much?
Getting tired of having to go around to the passengers side to lock the car...
