I like bimmersport. Its local. At least you can relate to it.

Thats one of the things I like about Bimmersport. Also there are some pretty helpful people on BS. Just ignore the rice crowd..thats what I do.

Hi there you kiwi guys and girls this is good.Someone in our country to discuss things here. I have a 89 318 it has the m40 engine and have just purchased a m42.I have stripped it down and am hoping to port and polish the head and maybe fit mild road race cams I'm hoping to get 10 to 15 hp up on the 318is that was fitted to the e30 so that should get me somewhere between the 150 to 160bhp with only 20 kg more in weight.Anyone out there who has done this conversion?I know that the sixes are the popular ones for most of the bimmer guys and girls but I still like the fours.Ken

Another "ricer" crossing over to see how it is on the other side.

    A/S/L: 23, M, Bay Of Islands

1989 320i facelift Atlantisblau 104xxxkms Jap import - 97xxkms when bought - suspected genuine kms (would be rather obvious wear and tear if reading 97xxx but had actually done 197xxx). Owned for 11 months. First BMW. Previous rides (highlights) '86 z16 Datsun Ute, '85 Holden VK Commodore, '77 Suzuki GT250.

    Mods:

Cosmetic - colour coded bumpers and boot lip, smoked tails, custom centrecaps.
Other - Manual conversion getrag 240 sport w/ z31.9 shortshift conversion on sheet metal console, K&N panel, 55mm suspension drop fully captive with Bilsteins.
Planned mods - remove cat, m20 b25 conversion, rims, shadowline window trim, leather interior, 3.73 or 3.64 diff (currently on old auto one).

Top left corner of this page - user CP, then you see a whole lot of options on the left.

If you want a signature or something, host the picture you will be linking to somewhere like photobucket.com

Pity I didn't really get to chat properly to either of you. Just as everyone seemed to start to relax and chill and start to chat, everyone was off.

    Was a wicked day anyway.

P.S. anyone know why this forum won't let me use smileys post images or urls? min post count required maybe?

I've met the owner of Racetech his seats are great quality and are well respected in NZ racing circles.
Racetech has also landed some major overseas contracts in the past few years.
