X3 2.5i - $30,300
X3 3.0i - $36,300
Standard Equipment Updates:
X3 3.0i
• Power glass panorama moonroof (402) is now standard.
• Maple Sycamore dark wood trim (438) is now standard.
Birch Grain Light wood trim (435) or Aluminum Finish trim (439) are available as no charge options, replacing the standard Maple Sycamore trim.
• 5-speed STEPTRONIC automatic transmission is a no charge option.
This is a tremendous value that improves the price/value relationship of the X3 3.0i. The upgrade from an X3 2.5i to a similarly equipped X3 3.0i is just $1,375, compared to $4,050 in Model Year 2004.
2.5i
New Premium Package $3,700 (Reduced by$100 now that the front armrest is standard as of August 2004 production)

Package and Option Updates:
X3 2.5i
• Light Package (ZLP) has been discontinued.
ü Xenon adaptive headlights (522) on the X3 2.5i must be ordered with either the Premium Package or fog lights (520).
Exterior Updates
Both models
• The right and left front fender panels have been redesigned.
ü The front fenders feature a single surface design.
ü The previous fender was a two-piece design.
X3 3.0i
The X3 3.0i will have details that are different to distinguish it from the X3 2.5i.
• Chrome kidney grille slats.
• Chrome window surrounds.
Interior Updates
Both models
• Doorsill inserts with the BMW logo.
• Interior door handles finished in chrome pearl-gloss.
• Improved interior color coordination.
ü Dashboard in Black (instead of Basalt Gray).
ü Door map pocket nets and door panels now match the interior color.
ü Beige interiors get matching Beige carpets.
ü With Sensatec/Leatherette interior, the front armrest color now matches the interior upholstery color (previously it was gray).
X3 2.5i
• Storage compartment in dashboard standard (previously in the Premium Package).
• The X3 2.5i now offers four interior trim levels:
ü Titanium Matte Finish is the base trim.
ü Maple Sycamore Dark wood trim (438) is the default trim included in the Premium Package (ZPP).
ü Birch Grain Light wood trim (435) and/or Aluminum Finish trim (439) are available as no charge options with ZPP, replacing the Maple Sycamore trim.
All trims (435, 438 and 439) are also available as stand-alone options.
Let me get this straight... You are swapping out parts designed by hundreds of engineers that get paid thousands of dollars for something you bought at Pep Boys because your buddy who doesn't have a job told you it was 'better'?!?
