The blood between garrett and precision is bad. Its why garrett picked up Tial and dropped Precision.
What do you expect when you take some other companies product and start modifying it? You can't blame the original producer after you have not only cut down and modified the original product, but now that product has to be re-balanced and set up by your people.......The fact that precision could even try to put all that on garrett is stupid and idiotic to say the least.

PTE has been seeing failures in their pro mod spec turbos. The failures were often seen at the weld joint where the shaft and turbine wheel meet. PTE blamed garrett for the failure because PTE was using garretts shafts and turbine wheels in these turbos. Garrett blames PTE for the failures because PTE modified the garrett shafts.
PTE also denied the pro mod guys warrantee replacements. They blamed on the cars everything except for the turbos. Bad mounting, lack of oil, overspinning, etc. You name it, they blamed it.
The rest of the thread is just useless information. I dont get how these people afford to build drag cars. They can barely construct a valid argument. The only people who bring anything to the discussion is Garrett, Tial, and some machinist talking about material quality control.
