Mine was worn out suspension parts, not rotors. I had the same symptoms. My guess is:
Shocks
Ball joints
Tie rods
Wheel bearings
Steering rack
In that order. I have replaced all of these items except the wheel bearings, and they are probably soon on my list.
Do a forum search on <i>shimmy shake vibrate</i>. You will get plenty of hits with people's advice.

I'm with Bernman on this one too. I only had the shimmys and shakes at speeds over 70mph and when I braked. I thought warped rotor, but it turned out to be extremely worn outer ball joints on both sides (common failure). They only had at most 35K miles on them....i'd do a full suspension check first...
