Hey Everyone,
I am looking at upgrading the stock non harmon kardon stereo system and the first thing that has to go are the 4" speakers in the back.
How hard is it for a do-it-yourselfer (pretty skilled at wielding saws and stuff too if it requires some cutting) to replace those 4" speakers with a good set of 6x9's?
I drive a 95 2door m3 incase anyone needs to know.
Thanks!
You might was well put some real subz back there. I've got two 10" IDQ's firing in the opening for the rear speakers. It doesn't take up any trunk space.

I like the idea of putting some 10" subs up there, but wouldn't it be wise to build an enclosure around the sub in the trunk area. A small one similar to the factory drop in boxes under the speakers originally.
Any pics of the subs from inside the cab. Did you use some mess to cover them up? Or leave them open.
