Hey all...
I'm curious in which major tuner everyone likes/prefers for BMW
Please take the poll and respond listing your favorite tuner. This way we can see who likes which tuner and the percentages using the poll.
Dont forget to do both! thanks.
Richard
I put mine in for AC Schnitzer

but Alpina is in my #1 spot.

i voted hamann, i am new, but their stuff looks the nicest i think, sporty and classy.
I love Hamann, a majority i love them, but the rest I love AVR, that damn E46 M3 kit is soooooooooooooooo niiiiiiiiiiiiice! But if i were to get an E46 i'd go all out Hamann on that mo' fo.

Me, er Hamann takes my vote here...
I however think that everybody can do a better job when you mix up all the available resources. Hamann has the baddest kits. And straight forward motor upgrades.
Alpina has the baddest motors.
RDSport has the best Suspensions (of course we all know that they are rebadged eibach/H&R/Bilstein parts, then again, that goes for everybody, doesn't it).
Hartge does the baddest engine conversions. (E46 to M5)
Dinan lets you keep your warranty.
and the list goes on...
Hey man, I'm a professional!
hmm... this got moved into the lounge? hehe i thought this is bmw related...?
oh well... at least there's a direct link
Richard
wait, there are other parts of this forum?
lol
Hey man, I'm a professional!
I vota none of the above.
Those tuners have nice stuff, and some of it (not all) looks very nice. Problem with all of those is they are charging criminal prices for everything.
If you want yer bimmer to be the best it can be, go to a speed shop that builds race cars and you'll get what you need for a lot less $$$.
I get sick of the tuner thought pattern that is: Bimmer owner = money coming out of the wahzoo
my $0.02
PS what's up with the elevator music??:P
Derek,
No, I haven't picked up the mag for the last few months for no reason in particular. I'll check it out when I'm out of class for the day, though, I luuuv Alpina!
Thanx
you hear that too? I thought I was finaly cracking
Hey man, I'm a professional!
I vote AC. I didn't see a place for the fake RD rebadged as a Hartge? I would vote for that one anytime. 2 manufacturers in 1. Must increase the horsepower exponentially.... :
1993 325i - Jim C chip, ECIS CAIS, BMP Intake, K&N, fan delete.
*SOLD* 95///M3 - Engine/Exhaust: Underdrive Pulley, Port & Polished Intake, ECIS Heat Shield, BMP Intake, 9" K&N Filter Charger
Your listed symptoms= Worn out lsd.
Very common in any e36 m3; ~80k is when they first start to expire; expiration is similar to clutch as the lsd has splined clutch discs and keyed steels inside (just like brake pads and rotors). In extrme cases the splines may be destroyed and clutch material overheated / smeared all over the steels
M3 drivers are much harder on diffs than non-m and larger 5/7 series.
Worn out lsd is nothing new to m car owners/drivers.
