Hey everyone,
I recently bought a Certified Pre-Owned 2022 X7 M50i and have some concerns about the suspension. Before purchasing, I test-drove several X7s, but none in the M50i trim. About a week into ownership, I started noticing that the ride felt unusually bumpy—almost like it was amplifying every imperfection in the road. I also heard a rubbing noise coming from the rear right tire.

I took it back to the dealership, and after inspecting it, they found that the rear right strut was bad. Further examination revealed the rear left strut was also faulty. Both were replaced, and the car was in the shop for about two weeks. During that time, they gave me a 2024 X7 xDrive40i loaner, which rode completely fine—smooth and composed.

Now that I have my M50i back, I still feel like something’s off. I’m concerned that the previous owner may have driven it hard, possibly causing additional wear or damage that hasn’t been addressed.
Has anyone else experienced this with an M50i? Does this seem normal for the trim, or should I push for further inspection while it’s still under warranty? Any insight would be greatly appreciated!
