Hi all,
1993 850ci daily driver. Runs great. No dash lights. Never had issues other than having to replace the fusible link in the trunk.
Yesterday I drove the front end up on my two small garage ramps...just to get the front end up high enough to replace the front plastic diffuser. Rear end was ground level. Front tires were roughly 8" off the ground on the ramps.
Buttoned everything back up....rolled it off the ramps. Cranked it up and I noticed the following:
- None of my windows would roll up (I had them all down at the time).
- Unlocking sound coming from the trunk and turns out to be the trunk unlatching itself over and over.
- Trunk light was also going on and off.
I turned the car off. Opened/shut the trunk. It finally quit trying to unlock itself. No dash lights. Headlights worked fine. Interior lights seemed to be fine.
Anyone have any idea what could have changed from literally rolling the front end up on small ramps for a day? I never touched the batteries (both new) or any wiring for that matter. Only the plastic faring/diffuser under the front grill. Just trying to figure out where to start first. Couldn't find anything through search or the FAQ.
thanks!
