BMW has the WORST navigation!!!!

Picked up a mint 2020 CPO 540i with 19,000 miles on it a few months back. I must say that the navigation on this car absolutely sucks! Can't locate the street or gives me the street number of another stree. Funny how google can find anything and that's what I'm forced to use for navigation. You would think a car that stickered for almost $65k new would have decent navigation.

Can you give us some more info? What version nav maps do you have…and since the car was CPO, does it have any map updates since 2020? And if it does have updated maps is it the overall maps or just the regional maps? If regional…again you have a CPO, so was the car in the same region that you live now, or was it one of the other regions? Not knowing which version maps you have or whether any updates are correct…is an unknown point for those of us reading your thread.

If you don’t know how to find you nav map versions…bring up the nav map on the display screen, then press the OPTION button next to the iDrive controller knob…you should see a selection that gives the nav map software version (you may have to scroll).

The update issue sucks indeed. So I advice to use CarPlay. I did not have on my car but later I got it installed.
