2019 M5 F90 - mystery gray clip?

My wife opened the hood and found this gray clip laying front and center on top of the black plastic above the radiator. I looked around the engine compartment and didn't see anything obvious missing a clip. Anyone know what this is from?

Does not look familiar to me and I have taken all that trim apart before. There are some hose clips but they are black.

Turned out it was a hose connector retention clip for the low pressure side of the high pressure fuel pump.
