So for many months, I kept hearing a high pitched whining sound from the rear of my car. It would go away under 20mph and do it sporadically. I posted about it a few months back and it was suggested to replace the fuel pump.
Fast forward to today and the car no longer runs. I figured the fuel pump finally gave out. When I removed the metal lid covering the pump, I was shocked to see it was filled with seeds and droppings from a mouse or chipmunk.
1) HOW THE HECK did a rodent get inside there?
2) That chewed wire....where does it go and am I totally screwed or is this an easy fix?
Thanks!

Damn! Rodents are the worst. Looks like stuff than can be fixed pretty easy as long as you can reach the other end of the wire.
The squeaking noise is your CSB.
Csb??
