    Lightbulb Replacement projector headlights F30

    Hello,
This is my first post, so be gentle

I’m intending to replace the factory headlights on my 2013 328i with ECS Tuning LED Angel eyes projector headlights (https://www.ecstuning.com/b-depo-par.../?gad_source=1 ) and have two questions.

    - does anyone have any experience with ECS Tuning replacement headlights?

    - can the LED module be replaced with an Amber CLS DLR module?

    thanks!

In a 2013 BMW 328i, the LED modules and the Amber CLS (Cornering Light System) DLR (Daytime Running Light) modules serve different purposes. The LED modules are typically used for the vehicle's lighting systems, such as headlights or taillights, while the Amber CLS DLR module is specifically designed for daytime running lights and might include features like cornering lights.

I suggest you consider the following points:
Compatibility: Check the compatibility of the Amber CLS DLR module with your vehicle's existing lighting system. The connectors, voltage requirements, and control systems may differ between the standard LED module and the Amber CLS DLR module.

Functionality: Ensure that the Amber CLS DLR module provides the same functionality as the LED module you’re replacing. The DLR module may include additional features or specific functions that are not present in the standard LED module.

Electrical and Software Compatibility: Modern vehicles often have complex electrical systems and software controls for lighting. Replacing an LED module with a different type of module might require coding or adaptation to ensure that the vehicle's lighting system functions correctly.

Legal and Safety Considerations: Ensure that the replacement module complies with local regulations regarding vehicle lighting. The use of non-standard lighting modules can sometimes lead to issues with vehicle inspections or safety regulations.

If you’re considering making this replacement, consulting with a professional mechanic or an automotive electrician who is familiar with BMW systems is a good idea.
