    2007 BMW 328xi/E90 - U112B code

Hi all, I've been having an electrical issue on my 2007 BMW 328xi sedan. The instrument cluster will constantly 'reset', whether I'm driving or not, and whether the car is running or not. The needles will reset, and all errors/lights will flash momentarily before the car resumes normal operation. The HVAC lights also quickly turn off and back on again. The car continues to run and drive fine. I noticed this for the first time probably over a year ago, but it happened extremely rarely. Now, it happens dozens of times during each drive. The code being thrown is U112B. I found a few other threads online, and it looks like this could be any number of electrical issues. I checked the fuses for the dashboard (good), the ground in the engine bay on the passenger side of the motor (good), and I also checked for moisture and corrosion in the trunk around the battery or other electrical modules (none found). Previously, I've also removed the instrument cluster and reseated the cable, but that didn't solve anything. I also scanned any onboard computers with BimmerLink, and found this: "6E0F - DCC: error in the interface to the instrument cluster". Can anyone potentially give me some pointers?

are there any software updates? i'd double check your wiring harness from DCC to the cluster. double check those grounds. maybe the cluster is just failing.

I was unable to find any issues myself, but didn't have the ability to do in-depth electrical troubleshooting. I took the BMW to the dealer and they told me the cluster had an internal fault. They replaced the cluster with a new one, reprogrammed, and the issue is gone.
